OUR WORK

Digital technology, including AI and data analytics, is transforming the way mental health services are delivered. Mental Health Communications is contributing to this shift by developing tools and platforms that embed psychosocial support and care into the everyday communication environments people navigate daily, helping to advance new models of prevention and intervention.

The Future of Mental healthcare

Engaging critically with mental health issues is a vital part of the institutional response to the rising number of mental health emergencies. However, even greater progress can be acheived by empowering individuals, groups and communities to feel more confident and secure in managing their mental wellbeing.

This transcends mere awareness. It is about strengthening the role of care, connection and community in society to build resilience against life's challenges. The goal is to create the next generation of mental health support, where self-care, early intervention and complementary therapies are seamlessly woven into workplaces, schools and everyday life.

Mental Health Communications is dedicated to projects that enable data integration and leverage emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance inclusion, expand access, and drive engagement in mental, behavioural and psychosocial support systems. This includes initiatives related to mental health first aid and triage; crisis counselling, safeguarding, social prescribing, anti-radicalisation efforts and frameworks for human rights and humanitarian support.

Understanding Social Health as a Mental Health ISSUE

Social Connections have become one of the greatest needs at this time in history.

THE CHALLENGE

Studies and public health data increasingly highlight the widespread effects of loneliness and social isolation on individual and societal well-being, and the increased strain on healthcare resources.

Given the association between these experiences and the rise in mental health conditions, it has become a time critical issue, requiring urgent collaboration across people, governments and business.

Mental Health Communications "MENTCOMM" Project Report on Loneliness and Social Isolation.

PROJECT REPORT

At Mental Health Communications, we have been monitoring the ongoing crisis, assessing how well existing social support systems can meet the needs of the millions affected, particularly those with diagnosed or suspected mild mental health conditions.

To drive innovation in this space, we are developing a theory of change that focuses on financially supported mutual aid and community programming. Looking ahead, we aim to design the information architecture for a new wave of partnerships in social health. We’re excited at the prospect of seeing this come to life in the coming months!

OUR SOCIAL PAGES

Almost everything that you read, watch and hear affects your mental balance, and much about supporting your mental health is learning to be confident about thresholds and boundaries; knowing when informations feels more like a burden than benefit.

Our social platforms are dedicated to guiding our followers through different aspects of the information landscape and intentionally creating space for them to reflect on their thoughts of emotive and sensitive content, in ways that respect their personal experience of the issues in question.

Our pages are public and we welcome engagement
